Today, the World Grandfather His Holiness Haxhi Dede Edmond Brahimaj, received in a special meeting Mr. Muharrem Fejzo, the director of 14 most popular Albanian films, among which we mention titles such as "Captain", "Teacher", "Operation Fire" ”,“ Living wall ”etc.
Mr. Fejzo is also the author of the bust of Haxhi Bektash Veliu located in the premises of the Bektashi World Headquarters.
Biography
Muharrem Fejzo was born in Kolonja in 1933. Fejzo practiced as a prompter at the People's Theater in Tirana. He also studied acting and from his great passion for cinema, Muharrem Fejzo contributed as a make-up artist in some of the first Albanian films. Years later he became the director of the House of Culture in the city of Kukes. Before making his first film, The Editor (1970), Fejzo worked as an assistant director on two feature films, Mithat Fagu's "Prita" (1968) and Hysen Hakan's "Guerrilla Unit" (1969). In 1972 Muharrem Fejzo, together with the director Fehmi Hoshafi, made the film "Kapedani", the comedy of seen that continues to be considered today as one of the masterpieces of Albanian cinema. During his career, director Muharrem Fejzo made over dozens of other films, among which can be mentioned: Operation "Fire" (1973) and "Teacher" (1979). Muharrem Fejzo made his last film "Living Wall" in 1989.
