It took place today on June 27, 2019 meeting of all instances of the Interreligious Council of Albania.
As part of the preparations for the participation of the Interreligious Council of Albania in the X World Assembly of "Religions for Peace", which will be held in Lindau, Germany in August this year, were held today at the headquarters of the Orthodox Church Autocephaly of Albania, "National Consultations" of all instances of the IRCA, the Council of the Presidency, the Executive Board, the Department of Women and the Department of Youth.
In the first session, the Executive Board met, where Mrs. Sheldiana Jano, member of this board has explained the five topics that will be discussed in the Assembly and then the participants in this meeting, during a workshop divided into three groups with representatives from different religious communities, have discussed these topics, issuing some important recommendations and suggestions, which will be sent to the assembly on behalf of the Interfaith Council of Albania.
While in the second plenary session are gathered for the first time all the boards and departments of IRCA, where the rapporteurs of the working groups have referred about the recommendations and suggestions issued in the meetings of 20 and 27 June 2019.
Then, in this session moderated by the Secretary General of the Interfaith Council of Albania Dr. Genti Kruja, also spoke the leaders of religious communities, at the same time members of the Presidential Council, where initially the President of KNFSH Prof. Dr. Anastas Janullatos, and then greeted other leaders, who stressed the importance of interfaith dialogue, but also the spirit of dialogue in general these days, where there is so much need for the model of dialogue, as a missing value in the political arena for the benefit of social peace.
At the end of this meeting, the first of its kind in our country, where not only leaders of religious communities were gathered, but also representatives of women and youth from all communities, certificates of participation in this solemn meeting were distributed.
