Documentary film about the Bektashi martyr, Father Kamber Prishta-Saint of the Nation!

"Father Kamber Prishta, Martyr of Bektashism and the Nation", was immortalized today, in the premises of Cinema Millennium, through a documentary which was shown in its first premiere. The film is dedicated to one of the prominent figures of Bektashism, World Leader Dede Kamber Prishta (Honor of the Nation). Documentary screenwriter, publicist and writer Uran Butka says that the figure of Baba Kamberi is one of the most important not only for Bektashism but also for the Albanian nation.
Directed by Bujar Asqeriu and cinematographer Skënder Jaçen, the film sheds light on all the activity and contribution of this honorable cleric of our nation. The documentary was supported under the special care of the World Leader of Bektashism His Grace Baba Edmond Brahimaj.
Father  Kamberi was one of the main organizers of the first Bektashi congress in the winter of 1921 in Skrapar while on April 12, 1944 he was elected World Bektashi Leader. In December 1944 he was arrested and sentenced to life imprisonment at the age of 74. He died in the Tirana prison hospital in 1950. Today, the remains of Kamber Ali Dede are buried in the tombs of the Bektashi World Headquarters dedelers, alongside the remains of other dedelers.
