On Friday, May 4, within the calendar year dedicated to our National Hero "Gjergj Kastriot Skënderbeu" and "Europe Day" was organized the first exhibition with old religious manuscripts of all faiths of our country in the former villa of the communist dictator in Tirana. The event was attended by the Prime Minister of Albania, Mr. Edi Rama, Ambassador of the European Delegation to Albania, Mrs. Romana Vlahutin, Speaker of the Albanian Parliament Mr. Gramoz Ruçi, the leaders of the religious communities of our country, representatives of the diplomatic corps, the academic world, the media, etc. The exhibition entitled "Through an inexhaustible wisdom" contained in itself the identity elements preserved over the years of the religious beliefs of our country such as the oldest and rarest manuscripts and publications related to various spiritual and philosophical traditions in Albania. In his welcoming speech, the Prime Minister of Albania, Mr. Edi Rama stressed the importance of reforms in not only the economic and industrial development of the country but also in its cultural, religious and identity. "During almost 15 centuries, our national identity has been engraved on parchments, manuscripts, volumes and prints by 3 great traditions, the philosophical, secular and spiritual. This is a deep cultural heritage. A unique story of Albania of values and civilization which echoes exactly Europe within us. ”- said Mr. Rama during his speech.
While Mrs. Vlahutin, in her speech expressed gratitude for moments such as the organization of this exhibition, as it is encouraging to remember our union in a country that has survived and resisted difficulties such as those of Albania and has managed to preserve, defend and celebrate the essence of its European identity. "Today's exposition of rare manuscripts is another proof of the historical harmony of the existence of different religious communities and philosophical schools of thought in this country. "He confirms, if there has ever been a need for confirmation, how much Albanians share with the European family in our common roots," she said.
At the end of the activity, Prime Minister Rama handed over to the representatives of the Religious Communities, who have participated in the Paris March, in 2015, the "Medal of Gratitude of the Prime Minister". Also present was the World Leader of the Bektashis, His Grace Haxhi Dede Edmond Brahimaj, who while receiving the medal, thanked the Prime Minister for this gratitude and said: "I wish that we, all together, will enter Europe as all other nations.
