The International Court of Justice in Strasbourg, by a special decision, recognized the Bektashi Community in Macedonia, to be registered as a separate Community. This is an important event, not only for the Bektashi believers in Macedonia, but also for other faiths in this country. The contribution of this community in Macedonia to religious harmony is well known, as well as the messages given by the spiritual leaders of this community for religious coexistence. Also, in important moments of the history of the Albanians in these lands, the contribution of the Bektashi community in the Albanian National Movement and beyond is known.
The World Leader of the Bektashis, Haxhi Baba Dede Edmond Brahimaj, on this occasion welcomed the decision of the International Court in Strasbourg, and conveyed the messages of peace, love and kindness that the Bektashi Community in Macedonia has at its base of all activities. This Community has been and will be a factor of peace and a bridge for the good of the peoples in this country, as well as of the religious communities that exercise faith in this country.
