Today, on May 25, 2021, in the yard of the house of the Frashëri brothers, near their busts, in Frashër-Përmet, the Patriotic Cultural Association “Brother Frashëri” and the Bektashi World Headquarters, held a memorial event in the framework of the 175th anniversary of the birth of our National Poet, Naim Frashëri. This is also done in the framework of the “Year of Naim” started by the Bektashi Snow Chief, May 25, 2020 – May 25, 2021.
Various personalities participated, local authorities, representatives from all Albanian territories and political forces in our country, scholars, historians, intellectuals, many residents, visitors from Kosovo, etc.
In the solemn ceremony organized on this occasion, in front of the busts of the three Frashëri brothers, the Bektashi World Leader, His Grace Haxhi Dede Edmond Brahimaj, after greeting the participants in this event, bowed with deep respect and reverence before the life and work of the brothers Frashëri. For the irreplaceable contribution to the awakening of national consciousness and cultural , literary renaissance. Naimi, as the national poet, thinker and prominent patriot of the National Renaissance. The talented missionary, teacher and creator, who sang with dedication and echoed the patriotism, history, language, culture, identity and freedom of Albanians. The great inspirer of the pride, dignity and national consciousness of the Albanians, as well as the inexhaustible oracle of their freedom. The Frashëri brothers, sympathized, showed great values for the nation with the motto of the Prophet Muhammad “without homeland there is no religion”. Bektashis with this motto walk and travel in history. Any ceremony of any nature, the Bektashis begin with the national anthem.
Afterwards, the President of the association, Mr. Tomorr Kotorri, spoke, expressing the highest consideration for the Frashëri brothers, for their irreplaceable contribution to the awakening of national consciousness and cultural and literary renaissance, in the service of the protection of Albanian territories and the war for the Independence of Albania.
At the end, an artistic program was given to the participants.
