Mount Tomorri is 'occupied' these days of pilgrimage, August 20-25, by hundreds of thousands of pilgrims from Albania, the diaspora and around the world, who travel to the tekke of Kulmak, to celebrate the feast of Abaz Ali, despite the religious beliefs that they belong.
As every year, under the special care of the Bektashi World Headquarters, the Holy See, the Bektashi World Leader, His Holiness, Haxhi Dede Edmond Brahimaj, Skrapar Quarter, with Mr. Zalo Qato and many other collaborators, under full measures of protection from the pandemic, took place today, on August 22, 2021, the traditional, culminating ceremony of the annual pilgrimage to the Holy Mountain of Tomorri, in Berat, on the occasion of the ceremony of Abaz Ali.
Also present at the ceremony were Mr. Kadri Morina, successful and charitable entrepreneur, clergy, religious and state personalities, diplomats and many believers.
As always, the ceremony opened with the National Anthem. Then the speech was given by the Bektashi World Leader, His Holiness, Haji Dede Edmond, who in his greeting, gave messages of peace, congratulations, blessings, mercy, noting that "these holy days of pilgrimage to the mystical mountain of Tomorri, in this traditional rite, which gathers us in this holy place, coincide with the 105th anniversary of the establishment of the tekke of Kulmak by dervishes Ilias Qafoku, who has left his mark as a clergyman, patriot and charity, not only in The south of Albania, but much wider, so it has been remembered, appreciated and will be remembered among generations…
The Balkans, Europe are experiencing complex difficulties, where in the world there are riots until the war with victims accompanied by world tragedies like in Afghanistan should make us all more peaceful, more reflective, more conscious and more optimistic to reflect all this on ourselves , family and wherever we are "
The Grandfather also emphasized the growing number of believers and pilgrims, from year to year.
“The squares of this tekke, which are always filled with believers who grow from year to year, turn this holy place into an important center of forgiveness, mercy and closeness to the Creator, conveying the spirit of holiness of this place to him all the pilgrims. ”
Also, His Holiness, Dede Edmond Brahimaj, focused on the figure of Abaz Ali, this great saint.
"At the height of this mountain, we also have our saint, Abaz Ali. Despite the centuries-old legends that are told and transmitted about 'Him' from generation to generation, He himself is a wonderful reality of manhood before fear, life before death, love before hatred, Albanian purity in the face of the Yazidis. He has been and will remain the model of the man and the brave man who was identified to the end with the excellent conscience of Imam Husayn, may God bless him and grant him peace. The name and deed of Abaz Ali, Albanians, not only the sanctity of history, but also the values of life that we have lived and live, They have been and will remain clear crystal sources of our thoughts and attitudes, in the face of such problematic realities that Albania, the Balkans and beyond today are going through, making us reflect all, for more hope and love, peace and goodness, faith and worship for the Creator.
The life of Abaz Ali, like the life and work of all our dervishes and fathers over the years, is and will remain a model for every believer, for every follower and lover of the enlightened path of Haxhi Bektash Veliu. "
Well-known entrepreneur and charity Mr. Kadri Morina, in his greeting speech, on this holy day, I wish all believers for more goodness and prosperity in every family.
Afterwards, the activity continued with various polyphonic groups, mainly from the Skrapar region, who created a festive and joyful atmosphere, making this holy day even more enjoyable.
