The World Grandfather, Dede Edmond Brahimaj, participates in the farewell ceremony, in honor of the former President, Bujar Nishani

On Thursday, June 2, 2022, in Tirana, the tribute ceremony was held with high state honors in honor of the former President of the Republic of Albania, Bujar Nishani, who passed away at the age of 56.
The Council of Ministers of Albania announced June 2, a day of national mourning in honor of former President Nishani, while the tribute ceremony was held in the premises of the Presidency of Albania.
Part of the tributes were also the Bektashi World Grandfather, His Holiness, Haxhi Dede Edmond Brahimaj; The President of Albania, Ilir Meta; The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani; Speaker of the Assembly of Albania, Lindita Nikolla; ministers, deputies of the Assembly of Albania, as well as various officials and personalities from Kosovo, North Macedonia and other countries.
After the ceremony, the dead body of former President Nishani was escorted with high state honors to the last residence.
We recall that Nishani passed away in Germany on May 28, where he had been in a hospital for several weeks, due to problems from a pulmonary infection and other health problems.
Bujar Nishani was born on September 29, 1966, in the city of Durrës. He completed his higher studies at the "Skënderbej" Military Academy in Tirana and for Jurisprudence at the Faculty of Law at the University of Tirana.
The political career of former President Nishani has passed through several stages in the Democratic Party of Albania, as well as in the country's institutions
In addition to the post of President of the Republic of Albania, in the years 2012-2017, Nishani also held the post of Minister of Interior and Minister of Justice of Albania.
