Bismilahi Rrahmani Rrahim!
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, Most Merciful!
Dear President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Your Excellency, Aliev!
Dear brothers and sisters, world religious leaders!
Dear organizers of this event, for the benefit of World Peace!
It is my great honor and pleasure to participate in this event and allow me to wish you in my personal name also in the name of Bektashis from all the world: May the Great Lord fulfill every wish to You, Your spiritual families and Your nations!
Today's summit, held in the context of Jubilee celebrations of Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, is certainly another opportunity for us, not just to meet each other, not only to talk about those who "hurt our souls" , but also to define our own ways of facing challenges. We have had and will always need each other's word, for it is the word that has come down to us in its eternal greatness from the Holy Books, it is the word of God that gives us the true meaning of today's life and the life of 'ahiret'. It is the word that unites us in this diverse world.
Our great and wonderful Muslim family has, over the centuries, experienced endless displays of compassion, dialogue, human and religious understanding, because at the substance of our faith is precisely this tolerance that has feed us through the generations.
In this hall, we all know that in the third year of Hijri, when our blessed Prophet entered o Mecca, all unbelievers hid or wanted to escape from all the bad things that they made to the Muslims. But our Prophet, the messenger of the faith of the Supreme Allah, always manifesting the ideas of mercy and love among the people, said to all the people: "O people! We have indeed created you from a male and a female, made you peoples and tribes to know one another, and there is no doubt that in Allah Most High, the Most Honorable from all of you, beware of sins and Allah is All-Knowing is the one who know everything in details. ”(Qur'an, 49:13).
There is no doubt that such a sensory substance, such as the human brotherhood, has accompanied the Muslim family over the centuries, building not only its foundations, but all that precious building enlightened by Islam. The idea of peace in both worlds, the embodiment of, the embodiment of a brotherhood beyond colors, races or religions, the profound and conscious respect for nature and its Creator, made possible the advancement of our religion as well as its embrace today, in more than a billion believers. Even when it was anathematized and attacked in various places and times, Islamic tradition always appeared coherent with its most essential features and in particular with universal mercy.
Dear attendees of this respected audience!
We are all aware of the challenges that human society is facing today, challenges that, if not weighed down in the "control" of the soul, will put us in front of unforeseen dramas. The times we are passing by are increasingly revealing the problems we have with nature, forgetting in many cases that this Creator's gift cannot be wasted on the appetites of notorious oligarchs. We have a problem with removing youth from the cult objects, no doubt attracted by globalism and secularist practicality. We have problems with the poverty of millions of hungry in the face of the indifference of millionaires or "modern" societies, which overlook the right to live, just as we are all susceptible to the regional wars that are taking hundreds of thousands of innocent lives every day.
All of these challenges, of course, are complex and require not only strong capacities to overcome, but also a permanent and energetic interaction of governments and world political leadership. But what I personally think is that our role, the role of religious leaders, more than today, must be sensitive and contributory, precisely to the idea that before any economic, political or social mechanism, we must seek help the Lord. Our prayers, based on today's realities, brought from pure souls, multiplied in the human dimension of billions of believers, I believe will contribute to overcoming today's crises.
Since I currently lead the Bektashi tariqat, let me tell you that this tariqat, which was born eight hundred years ago to this day, has been distributed among believers around the world as a spirit of eternal brotherhood. Bektashi communities, identified today in 31 countries, from Asia to the United States, have been able to identify themselves as brothers and sisters with any other religious community, at any time through their love and deep devotion to Islam and to Haji Bektash Veliu. For nearly nine decades, the Bektashi Holy See has moved from Turkey to settle in Tirana-Albania, and this century has proven that we remain conscious of the historical mission, not only of believers, but primarily for the progress of Islam, in the Balkans and beyond. We will contribute to the last heartbeat of the universality of Islam and human peace.
God bless you all!
Amin!
