On December 12, 2021, the Annual Assembly of the Interfaith Councils of Europe was held in Rome, where the Interfaith Council of Albania participated, as an institution member of this union, otherwise known as "Religions for Peace-Europe". IRCA was represented by the Chairman of the Interfaith Council of Albania H. Dede Edmond Brahimaj and the General Secretary Dr. Genti Kruja.
The meeting was opened by the President of "Religions for Peace-Europe" Dr. Luigi de Salvia and then the presentation of representatives of interfaith councils from all over Europe, who also made an overview of the work and activities of each institution they represented. The Assembly also discussed the statutory changes of RfP Europe, headquartered in Berlin.
Some of the representatives of interfaith councils have participated online, on the platform of which they have greeted Prof. Azza Karam, Secretary General of the US-based Religions for Peace-International, Dr. Thomas Wipf, President of the Council of European Religious Leaders (ECRL), and Mrs. Kaveri Cantoni, President of the Interfaith Women in Europe Network.
Part of "Religions for Peace-Europe" are already 15 interfaith councils of Europe, which includes the Interreligious Council of Albania, established in 2007 by the leaders of traditional religious communities in our country with the support of "Religions for Peace" .
