The traditional Ashura ceremony was celebrated yesterday, September 6, 2021, in the Bektashi tekke, in Sari Salltëk, Kruja. Present on this marked day were the World Leader of the Bektashis, His Holiness Haxhi Dede Edmond Brahimaj, clerics, high personalities, believers and many benefactors of Bektashism.
This is an important day for all Bektashi believers. The day of Ashura is considered the day of the martyrdom of Imam Husayn, who was besieged in the desert of Karbala 1400 years ago and was killed along with a large number of other believers, to save the true word of God and Islam.
On this beautiful day, where the sun shone on the top of the mountain of Kruja, His Holiness, Haxhi Dede Edmond Brahimaj has given messages of peace, kindness and love to all, in these difficult times we are going through. He has greeted people where he has given and received many congratulations.
Also, for all present was distributed ashura, which is the special cake, which takes the name of this day.
Such holidays unite not only believers, but all people, so it is important that they are spent in harmony and with loved ones.
