Today, on June 25, 2021, at the Bektashi World Headquarters, the Holy See, the Bektashi World Grandfather, His Holiness, Haxhi Dede Edmond Brahimaj, received for a visit the Apostolic Nuncio to Albania, Mr. Luigi Bonazzi.
In this courtesy meeting, was discussed the history of Bektashism, various issues of mysticism and the importance that God has in the power of human creation, the removal of selfishness and evils of mankind, interfaith relations, tolerance and interfaith harmony.
The World Leader praised the friendly relations so far and stressed the importance of the continuous care that we must show for their preservation, which according to him in the context of religious harmony in Albania, go beyond religious affiliation, in order to maintain peace and social cohesion.
The meeting continued with a visit to the Bektashi museum, library, archive, gallery, IT, photo library, etc.
After exchanging fraternal conversations and mutual gratitude between the Bektashi World Headquarters and the Vatican, the Apostolic Nuncio give the gift to Grandfather a Rosary, symbolic of Catholic prayer from the Vatican, the Holy See and an album “Mother Teresa” by Don Lush Gjergji. Meanwhile, the Grandfather donated the album “Dede Reshat Bardhi” and the book “Haxhi Dede Edmond Brahimaj, 10 years World Grandfather.”
On his part, the Apostolic Nuncio, Mr. Luigi Bonazzi, thanking the Grandfather for the warm reception, said that it is a special pleasure to visit such facilities, which inspire only peace.
In the end, Mr. Bonazzi said, among other things, that relations between the Vatican and the Bektashi World Center will always be fraternal, for the sake of peace and religious freedom.
