Today, on 12.03.2021 SHTZ, Marcos Alonso, Ambassador of the Republic of Spain in Albania, paid a courtesy visit to the Holy Bektashi Headquarters, where he was received by the Bektashi World Leader, His Holiness, Haxhi Dede Edmond Brahimaj.
The object of this visit was the acquaintance of the Spanish chief diplomat, with the activity of the Bektashi Holy See, the role of Bektashism in strengthening the harmony and inter-religious coexistence. The difficult situation from the world pandemic and the one on the eve of the parliamentary elections that will take place in our country soon.
The conversation continued with the views and opinions of the Grandfather, at the same time the head of the Interreligious Council regarding the pre-election political situation and the contribution that the leaders of religious communities should give in the election of their representatives in parliament, not corrupt and with pure morals.
In full understanding for the transparent conversation, the friendly diplomat was recognized by Dede Edmond Brahimaj also for the problems and the activity of the Interreligious Council of Albania, an institution that is currently headed by the World Leader of the Bektashis. The conversation also addressed economic issues, mainly those of property still not legally recognized ,three decades of political change in the country. The grandfather confirmed to the diplomat that despite numerous efforts, the return and compensation of property still remains an unresolved problem for religious communities in Albania.
During this visit, the Spanish diplomat also paid a visit to the premises of the odeon, the Bektashi museum, library, gallery, etc. The Ambassador was impressed by what he saw and was informed, expressing at the same time the appreciation for the mission and efforts of the Bektashi faith, of the World Leader Dede Edmond Brahimaj, for the benefit of strengthening peace, human love, religious harmonies and faith in God.
