The Bektashi World Leader, His Grace, Haxhi Dede Edmond Brahimaj, sent a congratulatory message to Monsignor Anxhelo Masafra, who, at the Ordinary Assembly of the Episcopal Conference of the Catholic Church of Albania, held in Tirana on February 4, 2021, was elected President of the Episcopal Conference, with a three-year term. Through this message, the World Leader congratulates also Monsignor Giovanni Peragine, Bishop of the South Apostolic Administration, who was elected Vice President and Monsignor Gjergj Meta, Bishop of the Diocese of Rrëshen, who was elected General Secretary.
In his message, Dede Edmond Brahimaj, writes: “Dear Monsignor Massafra! With kindness and deep respect for you and the entire community of Catholic believers in Albania, I attended the elections for the Presidency of the Episcopal Conference. I wish you, dear Monsignor, long life and success in your noble mission, already consolidated for several years in Albania. It is a special pleasure to congratulate you on this occasion as a loving and fraternal missionary and clergyman with the Bektashi World Headquarters. On my own behalf and on behalf of the entire Bektashi community around the world, I wish you a peaceful and prosperous journey as President of the Episcopal Conference. I am convinced that the light in your path will always be enlightened and the inter-religious cooperation and harmony, which has always characterized us, will continue to exist. With this congratulation I would also like to congratulate the Vice President, Monsignor Giovanni Peragine and the Secretary General, Monsignor Gjergj Meta. May your path be full of prosperity and blessings! Harmony and tolerance between religious communities, always triumph! ”
