Today, on May 24, 2021, the Bektashi World Headquarters and the Municipality of Përmet, organized a conference on the topic: “Brothers Frashërit and Lasgush Poradeci” in the tradition of Albanian literature, which pays attention to the Naimian activity.
This conference took place in the city of Përmet and was greeted by high state personalities, academics, professors, researchers such as: former President of the Republic of Albania Mr. Alfred Moisiu, Mayor of Përmet Mrs. Alma Hoxha, Director of the National Historical Museum Dr. Dorian Koçi, President of the Association “Brothers Frashëri” Mr. Tomorr Kotorri, Mrs. Mirela Kumbaro, Mr. Mehmet Gëzhilli-Publishing House “Argeta” etc…
In his greeting speech, the World Grandfather, His Grace Hajji Dede Edmond Brahimaj, among others, said: “Let me, in the first place, wish you and your families good health, on behalf of the millions of Bektashi believers everywhere in the world as well as on behalf of the Holy See of the Bektashi World Headquarter . May God fulfill your wishes! It is a special honor for me to traditionally organize for a year the activities of the great poet Naim Frashëri in his hometown and in Permet, of the Frashëri brothers and in the famous tekke of father Alushi. But today there is a special event, that we commemorate the 175th anniversary of the birth of the renaissance poet Naim Frashëri. This is also done in the framework of the “Year of Naim” that was started by the World Headquarter of Bektashi Community May 25, 2020- May ,25 2021. All the activities of the year took place in Albania and other Balkan and European activities. It is in our honor and the honor of all to keep alive this tradition of remembrance, but the main thing is to deepen the values left behind by the Frashëri brothers, yesterday, today and tomorrow, the future of Albania that we want. Today’s conference that pays attention to the Naimian activity in the dedication with the theme: “Brothers Frashërit and Lasgush Poradeci” in the tradition of Albanian literature. That researchers today will say their son. In this greeting join the local and foreign scholars, that Bektashism in this region, inspired whole generations with the spirit of God. Especially in the culminating events of the Albanian Reunion of Prizren, the rooms of the Frashëri tekke were filled like never before, with the voices of men who made the history of the nation. Yesterday and today generations of Albanians, not only in their lands, but wherever they are, in every corner of the globe, have repeated and repeat with legitimate pride, the famous verses: You Albania give me honor, / Give me Albanian name… That this is synchronous with the photographic exhibition. “Albania gives me honor …” on the life and work of Naim Frashëri, prepared by the Bektashi World Headquarters and the Publishing House “Argeta” with Mr. Mehmet Gëzhilli. I greet the organizers for the organized event, Mr. Tomorr Kotorri who unceasingly accepts this tradition that started from 2004 until today. This is a miracle. Because it keeps alive the traceable lessons of the big brothers, Abdyli, Samiu, Naimi. Naim Day has become a good news not only in Albania but also a valuable tradition in Northern Macedonia, Kosovo and elsewhere. Once again I thank you all and wish good work to this scientific activity, convinced of its new feeds! “Together we can further the dream of the Frashëri brothers.”
