The World Grandfather of the Bektashi Community, His Holiness Haxhi Dede Edmond Brahimaj, through a message, congratulates all Albanians on the marked day of the opening of negotiations, for Albania's membership in the great family of the European Union.
Among other things, this message states:
"History will write this date, July 20, 2022, so unforgettable and long-awaited for Albania and Albanians.
Today, with so much joy and after a long wait, Albanians celebrate a new era of the opening of negotiations with the European Union.
The Bektashi World Headquarter has always been a supporter of this long-awaited and much-desired initiative, for the future of Albania and Albanians, in the great family of the European Union.
Bektashism and interfaith religious relations have also been a supporting and strengthening factor to reach this blessed day.
The Bektashian World Headquarter and the Bektashis wherever they are, in Albania and the world, congratulate the Albanian Government, all national and international factors for this achievement and we pray that the day when we will be members with full rights in the EU, will be as close as possible!
