July 10, 1980: Former World Grandfather Ahmet Myftar Dede passed away.
Today marks 38 years since the day of separation of the life of the former Bektashi World Leader Dede Ahmet Myftari, a well-known Bektashi cleric who has left traces in the 800-year history of this faith, being at the same time an ardent patriot. "Dede Ahmeti has given a valuable contribution to Bektashism, which will be appreciated and will serve between generations. He was a devoted cleric who felt tired on the Way of Hak, knew how to forgive kindness, love and faith in God, contributed maximally to the spread of the Bektashi faith and the establishment of institutions and did not spare the concrete support and contribution to the liberation of the country from invaders. Dede Ahmet, is the best example of the well-known Bektashi axiom "Without homeland,we have no religion", because in the difficult years of the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War, he not only publicly condemned the occupation of the country, but was at the forefront of the popular movement for the need for liberation with weapons in hand ”. Today, on this significant day, in the Bektashi Holy See, visits are expected in honor of this cleric and patriot, while thousands of believers will gather on this day not only in the tekkes where he has served, but also in other institutions of this faith inside and outside Albania.
