Pilgrimage to the tekke of Kiçok-Përmet (1890)

The tekke is located in Kiçok, on a beautiful hill you can see the contours of the foundations of the old tekke, in the north-western part there is a well about 22 meters deep. You can rarely find it with a beautiful circular work, stone wall, which still preserves monumental architectural values. It was founded by father Kamber Sadikaj Leskoveci in 1890. The tekke has made an important contribution to the national renaissance. In the last years of his life he left the original will in Albanian was edited by Mid’hat Frashëri and in Turkish by dr. Theme in 1917. This important testament shows the charity and personality of father Kamber with culture and foresight. He was killed in Bulgaria in 1918. After him, father Sulejmani and father Islam Bendo from Bubës served in this tekke. The tekke was destroyed in the Balkan wars. It was rebuilt by grandfather Haxhiu from Veleshnja of Skrapar with a wide culture. This cleric had been in Haji Bektash, Turkey, for 23 years. He ran the tekke until 1943, which was destroyed by the war, the war front with the Italian fascists. In 1950 he led the tekke: father Sadik Kiçoku, dervishes Hasan Martallozi, in 1952 dervishes Kalem Qenallaj, and in 1955 he led father Sejdin Dukaj, in 1963  was Sami Arza, and until the end ,was in this tekke father Sejdin Canaj,  who in 1967, saw with his own eyes the destruction by the monist state. After the 1990s it was rebuilt by the Cenollari tribe. In May, a pilgrimage is organized in memory of this tekke. The tomb is built with regular stone walls with domed rows of Bektashi tradition with the symbol of the Bektashi crown and the entrance balcony.
