We pray to God to keep us away from the hatred of politics!
The Bektashi Holy See is closely following the latest political developments in Tirana, in particular the exhibition of photos of martyrs or heroes of the Second World War, on "Skëndërbej" Boulevard. We can not hide the fact that we are still today, after more than seven decades, as sensitive to politics as in 1944. Now divided into victors and defeated, my Albanians, whenever they want to gain capital political, retrieve from the photo libraries of history the innocent faces of the heroes who gave their lives for the nation, but who still remain today the propaganda hostages of political parties.
The image of Catholic martyrs, raped, convicted and shot by the communist dictatorship, in many cases side by side with other Sunni clerics, Bektashis or Orthodox Christians, now want to overlap with another historical background, which not only can not bring peace to souls, but instead throw fuel on the fire of today’s divisive policies of unity of our nation.
Do we have a little resentment in our bosom? Weren't the right-wingers fired from the honest left? Aren't the leftists taking the bread out of the mouth of the honest right today? Have we not been beaten and killed for power? Aren't the departures of hundreds of thousands of Albanians frightening us with the hope killed, with the curse on their lips? Is not this history of wars of the last three decades enough, we are going to call on the former heroes for help, to fight once again in the November holidays?
O Supreme God!
Give our politicians the will and composure to dispel grief and hatred within the family!
Give the believers of my nation hope for a better future
