Regional Conference on “The Role of Religion in Western Balkan Societies”

On Tuesday, June 11, 2019, the Regional Conference on "The Role of Religion in the Societies of the Western Balkans" opened at the Palace of Brigades, organized by the Institute for Democracy and Mediation and several organizations in the region.
The President of the Republic, Mr. Ilir Meta, with the presence of the the Chairman of the Interfaith Council of Albania, His Beatitude, Archbishop Anastas; President of the Muslim Community, H. Bujar Spahiu; President of the Catholic Episcopal Conference, Mons. George Frendo; The Bektashi Grandfather, Haxhi Dede Edmond Brahimaj and the President of the Evangelical Brotherhood, Pastor Ylli Doçi. Ambassadors accredited in Tirana, representatives of the government and religious communities in Kosovo, Northern Macedonia and Montenegro, etc. also participated.
The conference continues today with the referrals of representatives from the region to the Hotel "Tirana International".
