This morning, the Bektashi World Leader, His Holiness, Haxhi Dede Edmond Brahimaj received in the premises of the Holy See, the representative of the US Embassy in Tirana, Mr. Keith West.
After cordially wishing him welcome and good work in Albania, the Bektashi World Leader thanked the contribution of the US Embassy in Tirana, reminding him, among other things, of a nearly century-old relationship of this mission with the Bektashi Holy See. This relationship has been growing and strengthening day by day, not only through a sincere and mutual respect, but also social and moral, in the context of today's developments. The role of cooperation with the US Department of State, with the UN, as well as other religious organizations and mechanisms, was also an important piece of information that the World Leader shared with his friend.
At the same time, the Grandfather informed Mr. Keith West also for some sensitive problems that the Holy See goes through and that have to do with more concrete relations with the state in general, what would solve a range of his obligations especially regarding the properties of this community.
For his part, Mr. Keith West thanked the Bektashi World Leader for the warm welcome and conversation, as well as recalling the embassy's fraternal relationship with the Bektashi Holy See. He got acquainted with many aspects of this community and announced that for many problems there will be a fruitful cooperation, in all aspects. At the end of his speech, Mr. Keith West said: "I am pleased that you have personally contributed and continue to contribute to the friendship between the United States and the Holy See, for the sake of peace."
