The funeral ceremony and its rites, presided over by the World Bektashi Leader, Haxhi Dede Baba Edmond Brahimaj, were attended by Bektashi clerics from Albania, Kosovo and Northern Macedonia; clergy of other faiths from these countries; local leaders of Kosovo; myhib and hundreds of believers. The body of the well-known cleric, father Mumin Lama, was covered with the red and black national flag of the Albanians.

Ardian Gjini, mayor of Gjakova, Ramush Haradinaj, but also many political representatives of cultural institutions of the city, who pay homage to the high Bektashi cleric, said that this is an issue that will be seen with priority by the legislative institutions of the Republic of Kosovo and of course this is a moral obligation that must be attached to the works of national character left by father Mumin Lama.
The keynote address at the funeral ceremony, in front of hundreds of attendees, was given by the Grandfather,  Dede Edmond Brahimaj. Among other things, he said: “… Dear believers, present today at this ceremony of passing from this life of our brother, father Mumin Lama! Our brother, the clergyman Mumin Lama, left the material world to unite with pure souls, leaving behind the example of devotion, to the path of Haxhi Bektash Veliu, the precious religious and patriotic contribution of our peaceful faith. Baba Mumin Lama was born on June 1, 1949 in Gjakova, from a well-known family of the Bektashi faith. In 1987, he was accepted as myhib by father Tajari. As he displayed high moral, national and religious values, in 1993, father, Tajari, promoted Mumin Lama ‘Dervish’. After the death of father Tajari in 1994, the members of the Gjakova Tekke decided that the chosen leader should be the dervish Mumin Lama. In 1996, based on the rules of the Bektashi Order, Baba Mumin Lama was appointed postmaster of the Gjakova tekke by His Holiness, Haxhi Dede father Reshat Bardhi. Baba Mumini, was put in charge of the tekke of Gjakova, in difficult times for Kosovo. The 90s of the 20th century, stood out in history for the comprehensive violence of the Serbian regime against the Albanian population; institutions and schools were closed. But, Father Mumini, recognizing the Bektashi tradition and that of the tekke he led, committed to turn this religious temple into a center for religious-cultural-artistic-historical manifestations, and at the same time gave the tekke for school, for the graduates of the gymnasium of Gjakova. The Bektashi tekke of Gjakova, led by Father Mumin Lama, was attacked by the regular Serbian army, which burned it on May 7, 1999. Thus, relics and artifacts of extraordinary value were destroyed, and the library holding treasures was burned. from all over the world (many of them were pearl manuscripts that never return). This was the fate of the tombs of the fathers in Gjakova. After the war in Kosovo, the tekke was rebuilt in 2007, with the help of the Government of Kosovo, funded by the friendly countries , as well as the income of the Bektashi tekke of Gjakova. Our brother, Father Mumini, was widely known for his calmness, wisdom, and generosity. He showed respect for every human being, he stood up with consideration for both children and the elderly. He did not distinguish people into elements that differentiate, but he considered these to be riches of the essence of being human. Separation from this life of our brother, father Mumin Lamaj, is a loss for all of us Bektashi believers everywhere in the world, at the same time an obligation to work harder, together with the myhibs, the clergy, the benevolent believers, to lead more beyond the religious and patriotic mission of father Mumin Lama, in the famous tekke of Gjakova. Baba Mumini, may our light guide us on the pure path of the Eh-li-Bejt!
In continuation, this event was greeted by family members and representatives of the Dedeliks of Gajkova and the mufti of Gjakova.
The Bektashi World Leader, Haxhi Dede Edmond Brahimaj, also led the religious rites of the Bektashi cleric,to  Father Mumin Lama, for passing away from this world.
Meanwhile, near the coffin of the clergyman, between wreaths and bouquets of flowers by the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani; Prime Minister Abdulla Hoti; the Mayor of Gjakova, Mr. Ardian Gjini, of the ambassadors of friendly countries in Kosovo, of Mr. Ramush Hararinaj, of Mrs. Mimoza Kusari Lila, Arbërie Nagavci and Teuta Haxhiu, of Mr. Shefqet Shehu and dozens of others, was that of the students and teachers of the “Hajdar Dushi” gymnasium, to whom, during the war for freedom in Kosovo, Baba Mumini opened the Gjakova tekke for the development of the lesson.
