Many believers and friends, invited by the Bektashian World Grandfather, His Holiness, Haxhi Dede Edmond Brahimaj, on the evening of Sunday, April 17, 2022, gathered together in the premises of the "Resort-Nano" complex, at the laid-out iftar for the Magnificent Month of Ramadan. Bektashi clerics from Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia took part in this iftar, in addition to the believers; head of the Muslim Community of Albania, Haxhi Bujar Spahiu, other heads of religious faiths in Albania, or representatives of the Orthodox, Catholics, Evangelicals; heads or representatives of Muslim communities from Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, etc... Ambassadors of diplomatic missions or diplomats of different countries, US Ambassador Yuri Kim and diplomats of other missions took part; high state and local officials; Heads of print and television media, journalists, businessmen, etc... The friends were received by Dede Edmond Brahimaj, where, apart from occasional greetings and congratulations, various conversations took place.
After the rites of the occasion, those present at the traditional iftar dinner were greeted by the Bektashian World Grandfather, Dede Edmond Brahimaj. Among other things, he affirmed: "Bismilahi Rrahmani Rrahim!" In the name of God Almighty and Merciful! Dear president and representative, brothers of the religious communities in Albania! Dear representatives of governmental institutions and the Albanian state, dear representatives of the Diplomatic Body accredited in Albania! Dear professors, researchers, academics! Dear participants, guests and believers who are fasting! Thank you from the bottom of my heart, for being part of this iftar table, which not only made us devout Muslim believers, but also united us brotherly, spiritually, and made peace, harmony, and love prevail at every table after a day of fasting. . In this Holy month of Ramadan, a month where Muslims find a sense of peace, spiritual healing and test their strength and devotion to God we gather together in prayer, reading and Quranic meditation to make the most of the month of fasting . Today, let's all join together in prayer, for a "blessed and prosperous Ramadan", peaceful and hopeful, with a Quranic prayer that war ceases and the bells of peace ring, hearts are filled with love, and no more lives of innocent people are taken, so that the souls of those who are not with us today, rest in peace. For all the poor, orphans, may God be with them. The joint prayer and this iftar is offered in honor of all those Afghan and Ukrainian citizens who were expelled and those who gave their lives for the freedom of their country, for those innocent babies who were sacrificed for a war that was nothing but bloodshed and loss of human life brings. We pray for a "Generous Ramadan", that the Almighty Allah grants us health in the families of each one of us, gives us loving harmony between each other, blessings and fulfills all the spiritual desires of each one of us. At this iftar dinner, I sincerely wish our Catholic brothers and all the Catholic believers, present together with the Muslim brothers, who today celebrate the Catholic Easter Sunday, a blessed and happy Easter for everyone. Let's join our prayers for peace, kindness, love between us and let our souls be happy on this day with religious harmony and in common prayer. May this Iftar and our prayers be accepted by the Most High God and may the tables always be filled with food, the people of the heart and the Prayers of God! God bless us all! Amin!”
