In the framework of the Interfaith Conference "Brotherhood in Humanism" the next day, February 10, 2022, by the Interfaith Council in cooperation with "Religions for Peace, Europe", the President of the Interfaith Councils of Europe (RfP Europe) Dr. Luigi De Salvia, paid today, on February 9, 2022, a visit to the Bektashi World Headquarters - the Holy See, in Tirana, where he was also received by the Bektashi World Grandfather, His Holiness, Haxhi Dede Edmond Brahimaj.
The grandfather, Dede Edmond Brahimaj, after welcoming him, introduced President De Salvia to the spiritual journey of the Bektashis from 1930, when the World Center was established in Tirana and until today, and also informed about the countless sacrifices of the clergy. Bektashis, their contribution to freedom and independence, as well as the wisdom to approach the Creator with devotion.
Among other things, at the meeting, the World Grandfather spoke about projects for interfaith harmony, the fight against extremism and the brotherhood in humanism where the Headquarter of Bektashi Community is open and cooperative.
Afterwards, the visit continued in the premises of Odeon (religious-cultural center), where Dr. Luigi got acquainted with the museum of Bektashism, the library, the archive, the photo library / sound library, IT, the gallery, etc.
President of the Religions for Peace of Europe, Dr. Luigi De Salvia, expressed his satisfaction with the reception, highly appreciating the contribution of the Bektashi World Headquarters in the context of religious harmony, brotherhood in humanity, interfaith dialogue, as well as the challenges of freedom of religion and belief, which, can be taken as a model by many other European countries.
