The World Leader of the Bektashis, His Grace Haxhi Dede Edmond Brahimaj received in a special meeting Mrs. Mariyam Cementëala, policy adviser and strategic initiatives of the Bureau of Religious Freedom and Human Rights at the US Department of State.
The grandfather thanked Mrs. Cementëala for the visit and briefly introduced him to the history, activity and role of the institution in Albania, the region and beyond.
While Mrs. Cementëala praised the role of the Bektashi Community and especially of the World Leader in preserving and strengthening religious coexistence in Albania.
During the meeting, religious freedoms, harmony and the rights of religion were discussed as fundamental human rights.
It was also discussed about strengthening bilateral relations in joint activities and projects.
Representatives of the US Embassy in Tirana were also present at this meeting.
