Pilgrimage to the tekke of Kreshova-Kolonjë on the 121st anniversary of its founding.
The traditional annual pilgrimage, this year (August 28, 2021), in the tekke of Kreshova, coincides with the 121st anniversary of its founding.
The tekke of Kreshova is located on the road from Leskovik to Korça, north of the village of Starje,
Administrative Unit Center Erseka, Municipality of Kolonja. It was founded by Father Hasan, in 1900. Father Hasan had at least one replacement before 1923, as Father Xhemal had enlarged the tekke before that date. The tekke played a major role in the events of 1908-1912, where prominent patriots of those years, such as Sali Butka, father Hysen Melçani, father Ramadan Qatromi, Mihal Grameno, Themistokli Gërmenji, the Qiriazi brothers, etc., developed in this tekke secret meetings by organizing volunteers for the freedom of Albania. Dervish Hima brought primers from Sofia and distributed them in these villages for learning the Albanian language. According to Hasluck, this center was rich and owned a lot of land in its vicinity. Religiously, however, it is an "average" tekke, because there, around 1923, there were three dervishes and a father. The clergy were led by the clergy: Father Hasan (… 1923),Father Xhemal (1923-1958), father Selim Kreshova, before the liberation. In 1940 and onwards, the clergy led: father Muharrem Alushi, dervish Zeqir Agalliu, dervish Feim Mahmutaj, dervish Izet Numani, father Ahmet Alikollari (1950-1952), dervish Izet Numani (1940-1963), father Abdulla Myslim Çela (1958 -1967). In 1967, it was closed with the banning of religion by law. After 1990, (in October 2011) a new tekke was rebuilt, under the auspices of the World Leader of the Bektashis, His Holiness, Haxhi Dede Edmond Brahimaj, for which the brothers who owned the company "Larti" contributed. On the 28th of August every year, the traditional pilgrimage takes place here.
