Today, October 29, 2021, the Bektashi World Leader, His Holiness, Haji Dede Edmond Brahimaj, received and gave an interview to international correspondent Amanda Coakley from AlJazeera.
The interview consisted of the statement of hospitality, welcome, of Afghan citizens, in Albania by the Grandfather, one of the first leaders of the official religious communities in Albania, who supported the Albanian government and called on all Albanian people to open their hearts and accept stay safe in Albania, Afghan citizens. During the conversation they also talked about the history of the persecution of Bektashism and the role of this tarikat of the Islamic religion, as a key factor of harmony and inter-religious tolerance in Albania and beyond.
