Today, the US Ambassador in Tirana, Yuri Kim, paid a special visit to the Zalli tekke, of Gjirokastra.
The ambassador was acquainted with the spiritual journey of the Bektashis from its beginnings to the present day.
It also highlighted the countless sacrifices of Bektashi clerics, their contribution to freedom and independence, the wisdom to approach the Creator with devotion, and the current challenges of the Bektashi Holy See, both in the context of religious harmony in the Balkans , as well as the challenges of freedom of belief and religion.
For her part, Ambassador Yuri Kim, congratulate and thanked dervish for the the warm reception, and said that it was a special pleasure to visit such environments that inspire only peace and that relations between the US and Bektashism will always be fraternal, for the good of peace and religious freedoms.
