Visit of the Vatican Ambassador in Albania, Charles Johnes Brown

Today, the Bektashi World Leader His Grace Haxhi Dede Edmond Brahimaj received in a special meeting the Vatican Ambassador in Albania, Charles Johnes Brown.

The grandfather acquainted the ambassador with the spiritual journey of the Bektashis from 1930, when the World Center was established in Tirana and until today. The ambassador was also briefed on the countless sacrifices of Bektashi clerics, their contribution to freedom and independence, and the wisdom to approach the Creator with devotion.

Bektashi World Leader His Grace Haxhi Dede Edmond Brahimaj, acquainted the ambassador with the current challenges of the Bektashi Holy See, both in the context of religious harmony in the Balkans, and the challenges of freedom of religion and belief.

For his part, Ambassador Brown thanked the Grandfather for the warm reception and said that it was a special pleasure to visit such facilities that inspire only peace. He said, among other things, that relations between the Vatican and the Bektashi World Center would always be fraternal, for the sake of peace and religious freedom.
