On Friday, January 14, 2022, marks the 101st anniversary of the First Bektashi Congress of Prishta, Skrapar.
The First Bektashi Congress was held in the tekke of Prishta in Skrapar from May 14 to 17, 1921. This Congress remains an important event in the eight-century history of Bektashism, this peaceful faith. Among other things, the Bektashi World Leader, His Holiness, Haxhi Dede Edmond Brahimaj states: “ The First Bektashi Congress of Prishta is an important event in the history of Bektashism. The decisions of this Congress created a strong basis for the spread of this peaceful faith, its organizational functioning and the increase of the role of the clergy as a spiritual preacher to the believers, the increase of faith in God and the strengthening of the patriotic feeling. "
The history of the tekke of Prishta and its position were among the main factors that for the First Bektashi Congress, Prishta was elected. The history of the tekke of Prishta is related to the time after the founding of the tekke of Frashër. Source data show that in 1781 the Frashër tekke was established, which was led by father Nasibi Tahiri.
