Today, May 12, 2022, the Grandfather of the Bektashian World, His Holiness, Haxhi Dede Edmond Brahimaj, visited Alipostivan tekke, on the eve of May 14: the traditional Pilgrimage to this tekke.
During this visit, the World Grandfather was received by father Hekuran Nikollari, who currently runs this important Bektashi facility.
The Grandfather congratulated Father Hekurani for the good work he is doing for the revival of the Bektashian sects and the revival of Bektashism in the hearts of the faithful.
As tekke it was founded by Abdullah Babai and may have been built around 1860.
It was burned by the Greek Andarts in 1914, rebuilt in 1920 and closed by the Monist state in 1967.
As a tekke, it was reopened in May 2003, being rebuilt and fully restored recently and today, this magnificent tekke is complete and with all its functional environments, with a cupola and spacious characteristic Bektashi premises. A miracle of nature, where the peat and the surrounding nature create one of the special beauties in the Vjosa valley.
