Muslim believers prayed the Eid al-Fitr prayer in the early hours of the morning in "Skënderbej" square in Tirana.
Through a message, the Grandfather of the Bektashi World Community, His Holiness, Haxhi Dede Edmond Brahimaj, wishes the faithful for Eid al-Fitr. In this message, among other things, it is said: "Dear brothers and sisters, Muslim believers! Happy Eid al-Fitr for many years! Through fasting, in the Holy Month of Ramadan, where we found and experienced a sense of peace, spiritual healing, tested the strength for devotion to God, let us join in a prayer for more hope and peace, pray that wars and violent conflicts everywhere where they are, may they rest, may their hearts be filled with love and may no more innocent lives be lost, may we have better days and harmony. May the peace and blessings of the Exalted God be upon all those who fasted morally, spiritually and physically, but also upon all the others, non-Muslims who with their kindness made this month easier for us. I wish all Albanian Muslim believers wherever they are, happy and many years. May Eid bring peace, happiness and harmony to your families!
May God grant you goodness and prosperity and may he accept your fasting and worship that you performed during the blessed month of Ramadan! Happy Eid al-Fitr! "
