The Bektashi World Headquarters with the Holy See in Tirana, with this letter want to inform the Bektashi believers around the world, that on Sunday, August 8, 2021, after 14.30 am begin the days of mourning. During 10 days, from August 9 to August 18, 2021, at 12:00 the mourning ends and after 12 o’clock the preparations for Ashura beginin, the premises of the Bektashi tekkes gather together with the clergy the myhibs and the benefactor of our mistic path, who, following the tradition, read and comment on the events described in the book “Garden of of the Good ”(Hadikatus Suada), recalling the drama of Karbala.
Also, consider taking measures to protect yourself from COVID-19.
On Thursday, August 19, 2021, the official Ashura ceremony is organized at the Bektashi World Headquarters in Tirana, then they continue in other tekkes, until September 7, 2021.
According to the calendar, the pilgrimage to Sari Salltik and the Holy Mountain of Tomorri begins.
